Pesha recently joined the directing faculty in the Department of Theater and Dance at University of California, Santa Barbara.

Pesha received her Master’s Degree in Educational Theater in 2004. Since then, she has trained hundreds of teachers and students to use theater in the classroom to promote literacy and inspire original writing.

Pesha designed the curriculum for LocalWRITES, a ten-week playwriting program for teens that enhances literacy, inspires original writing and promotes self-esteem. Learn more here. 

Since 2005, Pesha has worked with over 100 playwrights to develop their scripts for stage and production.
